About

The sound

Dennis Quin is an Amsterdam house DJ and producer whose musical foundations lie in the Chicago and New York records he began collecting in the early 1990s. Kerri Chandler, Todd Terry and Masters At Work were among those early influences. His productions pair a strong bassline with rhythmic detail, bringing classic house elements into contemporary deep-house and tech-house arrangements. His remix of Kerri Chandler’s You’re In My System forms part of an ongoing creative connection with Chandler. Quin’s catalogue includes releases on Defected, Madhouse Records, PIV, Kaoz Theory and Cécille, with an emphasis on groove and musicality across different shades of house. As a DJ, he draws on his own unreleased music, edits and reworks, giving his selections a close connection to his studio practice.
