Detlef

About

The sound

Detlef is a house DJ and producer whose recordings focus on groove, rhythmic detail and the energy of a club set. His releases and remixes have appeared on Hot Creations, Moon Harbour and Relief, connecting his solo work with several strands of contemporary house music. The three-track Swagon EP on Repopulate Mars forms part of that catalogue. He has also collaborated with Green Velvet on the Bassick and Groove Nation EPs, bringing another producer’s approach into his rhythm-led sound. His label work includes ISSUES, an imprint presented as an outlet for his own club-oriented productions. His recording history also extends to Solid Grooves and Black Book, with Deep Dip among the tracks highlighted in his artist biography.
