Diass is the stage name of a Bulgarian DJ, producer and studio engineer based in Sofia. He began playing music at the age of twelve, grew up around his father’s records, and studied music, production and sound engineering before developing a distinctive practice behind the decks. His sound moves from nu-disco and indie dance through electronica, downtempo, organic house and melodic techno, using groove, texture and narrative to shape long-form listening. The catalogue includes the albums Party Beach, Welcome to Bulgaria and Reset the World, with Reset the World released through 303Lovers, alongside later work issued by SACRO, Make The Girls Dance, Scorpios and WE:RE Here. Tracks such as Gospel, Te Quiero, Solo Tu and Vagabond, together with the Karizma EP, balance organic warmth, rhythmic detail and club momentum; several have appeared in Beatport genre charts. Diass co-founded KATUN in 2022, building a label and creative community around musical storytelling. He has shared decks with Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones, Faithless, Blond:ish, Hot Since 82, Mëstiza and other leading electronic artists. His international work connects Sofia with Ibiza, London, Amsterdam, Mykonos and cities beyond, while his studio practice keeps a classically trained ear at the centre of each arrangement. Diass treats every set and production as a dialogue between atmosphere, movement and emotion, bringing warmth and human detail to a modern dance vocabulary.
