Diffrent is a German DJ and producer based in Berlin whose music connects UK garage, speed garage, breaks, jungle and bass with the energy of Germany's electronic scene. Growing up in southern Germany, he taught himself production and developed a style built around swung drums, heavy low end, rave stabs and bright vocal hooks. The Diffrent sound first reached a wider audience through Live And Direct, a 2023 release that turns UK garage references into a high-tempo club cut. A Little Closer followed on Club Heart Broken, while later work such as Pump It Up, Piece Of My Soul, Rock The Party and Groove Is In The Heart expanded the project's palette without losing its rhythmic focus. His sets move between garage pressure, jungle breaks and contemporary bass music, balancing direct dance-floor impact with playful genre shifts. Diffrent's artist-controlled pages show a self-taught producer with a clear interest in the UK-rooted forms that shaped his taste, while the Berlin base places that vocabulary in conversation with Germany's fast-moving electronic community. Support from selectors including Interplanetary Criminal, Malugi, Marlon Hoffstadt, Sarah Story, Chloe Caillet, Dr Dubplate, Narciss and Dom Dolla has helped bring the project to a wider club audience. The Diffrent catalogue continues to grow through original tracks, remixes and DJ-focused releases, with the sound keeping its low-end weight, swung groove and rave-minded sense of movement at the centre.
