Dimitri From Paris

About

The sound

Dimitri From Paris is a French DJ, producer and remixer whose work connects disco and funk with house music. Film soundtracks from the 1950s and 1960s also inform his musical vocabulary. He began DJing on Parisian pirate radio in the late 1980s before developing a national radio presence, where his selections and personal edits helped introduce listeners to house. His artist albums include Sacrebleu and Cruising Attitude, while mix projects such as A Night at the Playboy Mansion, Cocktail Disco and NightDubbin document his interest in dance-music history. He has also recorded with DJ Rocca as Erodiscotique. In 2017 he launched Le Edits Records, followed by Le Chic Remix, a collection of his Chic and Sister Sledge remixes, in 2018. DFP Vaults joined his label work in 2022.
