About
The sound
DJ BORING is the Australian DJ and producer Tristan Hallis, whose 2016 track “Winona” introduced the project to a wider audience. His DJ approach places older records beside contemporary club music, allowing contrasting styles to share a set. His studio work also feeds into live performances built around hardware and controllers. The Like Water EP followed in 2020, extending a catalogue that moves between DJ releases and music designed for live performance. Alongside production, his recorded mixes include a BBC Essential Mix and a Boiler Room appearance at Lost Sundays.
