DJ Jazzy Jeff is Philadelphia DJ and producer Jeffrey Allen Townes, known both for turntable technique and as one half of DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince. His career spans hip-hop, soul, funk and open-format club sets, with the Magnificent and other mixes showing a deep commitment to musicianship and selection. Beyond the duo’s early records, he has continued to tour, produce and mentor artists while keeping the physical craft of DJing at the centre of his work.
