DJ Oliver is the professional name of Oliver Azor Hernandez, a Barcelona-born Spanish DJ and producer whose career is closely tied to Ibiza's house tradition. He began making music as a teenager after buying his first computer at fifteen, then developed his technical ear during the island's early-1990s club culture. Working at Privilege introduced him to the house pioneers he cites as lasting influences, including Frankie Knuckles, Sven Vath, Roger Sanchez, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, DJ Sneak, Todd Terry and Armand van Helden. That education shaped a style that moves between house, tech-house and deeper club textures while keeping the groove and the dance floor at the centre. Oliver's history includes long-running roles at Amnesia and Space and the La Troya parties, helping make the DJ synonymous with Ibiza's classic sound. BBC Radio 1 later invited him to record an Essential Mix from the Space terrace in 2006, an important international marker in his career. His catalogue spans more than seventy releases and numerous compilations, with music appearing on Defected, Mindshake, Flashmob, Lapsus, Materialism, Deeperfect, Undr the Rdar and Roger Sanchez's Stealth Records. His collaboration with Roger Sanchez as The Transatlatins produced tracks such as Mysteriosa and I Can't Live Without Music, while My Brother with Alvaro Smart became a standout Defected release. DJ Mag, DJ Awards, MTV and Traxsource recognition reflects both his production and his lasting impact on Spanish club culture. He continues to shape his sound through Pandora, radio curation and new studio work, balancing classic house references with a modern tech-house pulse.
