About
The sound
DJ Seinfeld is Swedish DJ and producer Armand Jakobsson, whose music joins house and 2-step rhythms with melodic, often introspective songwriting. Raised in Malmö in a musical family, he began working on electronic music while studying in Edinburgh. The track U, uploaded in 2016, brought attention to his early lo-fi house sound. His debut album Time Spent Away From U followed in 2017. He contributed a DJ-Kicks mix in 2018 and launched Young Ethics in 2019 with the Galazy EP. Mirrors, released by Ninja Tune in 2021, developed a clearer production style while keeping the emotional focus of his earlier records; the project also became a live show. His later album If This Is It continues that catalogue on Ninja Tune. It includes U Can't Come Home with TS Graye and The Wave with just lil, placing guest vocals alongside the producer's own approach to dance music.
