About

The sound

DJEFF is a DJ and producer whose musical background connects Lisbon with Angola and Cape Verde. After growing up in Lisbon, he moved to Luanda in 2008 and developed a recording career shaped by African rhythms and house music. Early releases included Canjika with DJ Silyvi, while the launch of Kazukuta Records in 2011 created an outlet for his own work and other artists. His albums include Soldier Ascension, Gratitude and Enlightened Path. Released in November 2020, Enlightened Path brings together thirteen tracks, including Difficult with Josh Milan, Made To Love You with Brenden Praise and Mercedes with Kyaku Kyadaff. Vocal collaboration and the relationship between deep house and African musical traditions connect these longer projects with his club productions.
