About
The sound
Djibril Cissé is a DJ whose interest in music developed alongside his professional football career. He began exploring DJing as a teenager and practised while at the Auxerre academy, initially drawn to house and dance music. That early interest continued through his years as a player and became a performance career in its own right. Also known as Tcheba, he has developed a sound centred on Afro house and tribal rhythms. His selections draw on South African sounds and batida, with strong bass and percussion guiding the set. He prepares music in advance while leaving the sequence responsive to the room. His performance history includes Tomorrowland Winter in 2022, bringing that musical approach to a festival audience.
