About
The sound
D’Julz is the recording name of Paris DJ and producer Julien Veniel. His career developed through the city’s early-1990s rave scene and time spent in New York in 1993. His music draws together house, dub and techno, with the same broad vocabulary shaping his productions and record selection. His Bass Culture project connects party programming with a record label, while his wider catalogue includes releases through Circus Company, Robsoul, Ovum and Rekids. Recordings such as The School of Night EP, Raw Toolz 1 and Est. 1992 sit within that body of work.
