About
The sound
Doudou MD is the DJ name of Milena Doudou, a selector from Utrecht whose music moves through soulful house, 1990s UK rave influences and punchier techno. Vinyl is central to her approach, connecting deep grooves with the energy of older dance records. Seeing Samuel Deep play helped inspire her to begin DJing at eighteen. Her development took her to Berlin, where she interned at Get Physical and spent six years before returning to Amsterdam. A Slapcast recorded in 2021 became an important introduction to a wider audience. Her relationship with SlapFunk grew alongside appearances with VBX, giving her space to develop extended selections and an individual musical range.
