Dungeon Meat is the Leeds and Paris DJ and production duo formed by Tristan da Cunha and Brawther. The project channels their shared interest in rugged house, tech house, broken beat, UK garage and stripped-back club music into a deliberately physical sound. Their artist-controlled pages frame the name as both a performance project and an independent label, giving the duo room to release their own records and champion other producers. The Lose Your Mind EP, released in 2022, pairs the title cut with Use Yo' Mind and two DJ tools, using heavy low end, swung percussion and abrasive textures to keep the tracks useful in a long blend. Earlier work grew from the Hold Back EP, while the label catalogue has since included releases and clips from Horsemen, Julian Anthony, Sweely, Maison Rat, Frederik Anthony, Raw Equipment and Timmy P. The Dungeon Meat sound is built around pressure rather than polish: broken rhythms, chunky bass, dry drums and playful vocal or sample details create raw dance-floor momentum. Their sets and productions share that emphasis on groove and impact, moving easily between UK-rooted house, garage and deeper late-night material. The duo's Leeds connection and Brawther's Paris base give the project a trans-European character, joining British underground rhythm culture with the wider house community. Under the Dungeon Meat name, Tristan da Cunha and Brawther also use the label to introduce new artists and keep the focus on functional club music, where a sharp low end and memorable hook matter more than genre boundaries. The result is a recognisable, mischievous identity that works equally as a DJ alias, a production partnership and a home for tough, characterful house records.
