About
The sound
Fabe is a German DJ and producer associated with Mannheim's BE9 collective and the Salty Nuts label. His house and minimal productions draw on an earlier interest in hip-hop, with drum programming and sampling playing a central role. His work moves between DJing, beatmaking and hardware-based production. His recording history includes releases through Cocoon, FUSE and Infuse, as well as the albums Water Tower in 2019 and Four Point Island in 2020. Alongside those records, he has explored compact sampler setups and four-track house sketches, keeping the immediacy of making beats within his club-focused work.
