Faster Horses is the stage name of Liverpool-born, Manchester-based DJ and producer Joe Germains. He entered electronic music around 2020 and quickly became associated with the high-energy North West club scene. Raised in Toxteth by parents who loved house and garage, Germains developed an instinct for vocal hooks, fast drums and the emotional lift of classic dance records. Early sets moved through hard techno and trance-tinged club music, while his later work folded in UK garage, jungle, bassline, hard house and euphoric piano writing. The result is a flexible sound that can hit with the speed of rave music without losing warmth or melody. His connection with Teletech helped bring the project from Manchester basements and The White Hotel to larger international stages, and the Warehouse Project became an important part of his artistic education. Releases such as Get On Ya Knees, Give It Up To Me, Wish U Were Mine, In My Heart with Morgan Seatree and the Waverider material show an artist comfortable with both peak-time impact and more atmospheric trance detail. Tracks and remixes have appeared through labels including RAW, Hot Meal Records, Warehouse Project Records and other club-focused imprints. Germains also uses the alias as a vehicle for long-form DJ sets, balancing high BPM pressure with vocal moments and sudden shifts that keep a crowd engaged.
