About
The sound
Franky Wah is a DJ and producer from Yorkshire whose work spans melodic and progressive electronic music. He began producing while at school and built his own studio in 2017, creating a base for the music and gatherings that would later feed into SHÈN. “Get Me High” led to a deal with Ministry of Sound in 2019. The Revival, Vol. 1 followed, with “Come Together” becoming an important release during the first lockdown. His subsequent work includes collaborations with Carl Cox and Cristoph, as well as releases through Pryda and Afterlife. He launched SHÈN Recordings in 2022, with “More Than You’ll Ever Know” and “Surrender” among its early releases. The 27-track This Is SHÈN mixtape set out its progressive, tribal and melodic direction. His Anjunadeep catalogue includes the Should Have Seen It Coming and Call My Name EPs, while The Revival, Vol. 2 continues his longer-form projects.
