About
The sound
George Rallis is an Athens DJ, record collector and radio producer whose selections connect music from different parts of the world. Born and raised in the city, he developed that approach through collecting vinyl and CDs and nine years in specialist record sales. Vinyl remains central to his DJ practice. His Worldwide Groove recordings for Radio Alhara move through jazz, funk, soul and music from Greece, Brazil and the Middle East. His archive also includes a Greek selection for Morning Glory on Soho Radio, a mix exploring Spirit Of France and live vinyl recordings from Lulu Athens. He hosts a monthly Radio Alhara programme alongside his Athens DJ work, bringing his interest in discography into both broadcasting and extended sets.
