About
The sound
Graeme Park is a British DJ, producer and broadcaster whose career developed alongside the arrival of house music in the UK. While working at Nottingham's Selectadisc in the early 1980s, he encountered records from Chicago, Detroit and New York. He began playing at Manchester's Haçienda in 1988 and went on to hold a nine-year residency there. His production and remix work includes records for New Order, Inner City and The Brand New Heavies. Beyond the club booth, Haçienda Classical brought him into live performance with the Manchester Camerata, musicians and guest vocalists. His Long Live House project extends his interest in both early house records and newer music through compilations and radio.
