Groove Armada is the London electronic duo of Andy Cato and Tom Findlay. Their partnership grew from a shared club culture: Cato brought experience from the free-party and acid-house world while Findlay came through the Hacienda generation, and together they developed a project that could move between intimate listening and full-room energy. The pair first built their reputation through the Captain Sensual club night before turning Groove Armada into a recording and live act. Their catalogue connects house, disco, funk, dub, downtempo, trip-hop, big beat and pop without treating those styles as separate territories. At the River established a warm, Balearic side; I See You Baby and Superstylin became durable dance-floor signatures; and the Lovebox and Soundboy Rock eras expanded the palette through vocal collaborations, live musicians and broader electronic production. The official catalogue also includes Rescue Me, Easy and later GA25 material, showing a duo still revisiting its own language rather than relying only on nostalgia. Groove Armada has always placed performance at the center of the music. Cato and Findlay built arrangements that could work as records, DJ selections or a full live show, with percussion, bass, vocals and visual scale reinforcing the movement of the room.
