Harvy Valencia is the stage name of Jhon Valencia Harvy, a DJ and producer from Cali, Colombia. He discovered electronic music at thirteen and made his first DJ appearances at seventeen under the alias Harvibal before adopting Harvy Valencia for his production work. His musical language moves between tech house, minimal, deep house, deep tech and Latin-leaning club rhythms, with groove-heavy basslines and sharply placed percussion at the centre. The approach is energetic without becoming crowded: tracks leave space for low-end movement, syncopated drums and small changes in tension that keep a set fluid. His catalogue includes Moto Taxi, Electric Mama, Acid Salsa, Sin Equipaje, Ya Ni Su Nombre Me Se, Caliente and the Harvibaladas and Silbato releases. Valencia has issued music through 1994 Music, Cuttin' Headz, Revival New York, Hot Creations, Repopulate Mars, Saved Records, Deeperfect and other labels, and he also established the 1994 Music/Harvibal imprint to develop his own productions and collaborations. Support from artists such as Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Michael Bibi and Marco Carola has connected his records with a broad international tech-house audience. His DJ work has taken him from the Colombian underground into clubs and festivals across Latin America, Europe and North America, where he is recognized for reading the room and balancing Latin character with the stripped-back precision of modern minimal and tech house. Whether he is shaping a patient deep groove or pushing a tougher peak-time rhythm, Harvy Valencia keeps the focus on movement, clarity and an unmistakable connection to the floor.
