INLAND KNIGHTS

About

The sound

Inland Knights is the Nottingham house duo of Andy Riley and Laurence Ritchie. Their partnership grew from the UK free-party scene, with the two DJs bringing experience from neighbouring sound systems into a shared production project in 1998. Drop Music was founded in the same year and became a central home for their recordings. Their early catalogue included the Road Trip EP, In House Alterations and New Century Swings, followed by the album Creative Spaces in 2000. Alongside Drop Music, releases reached labels including 20:20 Vision, Panhandle and Siesta, combining deep and funky house grooves with a more technical edge. The duo’s work later included the Dust Till Dawn releases and a contribution to OM Records’ San Francisco Sessions series. Their DJ history extends from free parties to Fabric and BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix, while their productions and remixes remain a substantial part of Drop Music’s catalogue.
