Jamie Fielding is a Colchester-born UK DJ and producer whose dark, tech-driven house draws on 1990s club music and acid-tinged bass. He began building the project during the lockdown period, teaching himself production and developing a sound that combines heavy low end, crisp percussion, warped vocals and atmospheric synths. Rather than staying inside one subgenre, Fielding lets deep tech, minimal and tech house overlap, using tension and repetition to make the groove feel physical. Releases on Hottrax, Solid Grooves Raw, Sola, COCO, Futura and You&Me have established him within the current UK underground, while support from Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, PAWSA and Michael Bibi has connected his tracks to a wider selector network. The Mind 3 EP introduced his late-night, acid-leaning vocabulary; later records such as Under Sheets, Emotions, Mystery, Tent One and Party Over Here show a producer refining the contrast between brooding atmosphere and direct dance-floor movement. Fielding’s sets carry the same balance, moving from stripped-back drums to rolling bass and hypnotic vocal details without losing clarity. His growing relationship with Fabric, E1 and other influential rooms has helped him translate studio ideas into long, focused DJ performances, and the artist’s catalogue increasingly reflects a confident voice rather than a simple list of influences. Jamie Fielding also writes and collaborates with other producers, using remix work and label projects to test new rhythmic shapes while preserving the raw edge at the center of his sound. The result is a contemporary UK house identity that feels dark, elastic and open-ended: music with enough pressure for a packed room, but enough space for the listener to notice each twist in the groove.
