About

The sound

JAN is the electronic artist Jan Orozco Prat, from Barcelona. His musical background includes piano and drums, with early interests in rap, hip-hop and pop preceding his work in electronic and house music. He often begins composing with a chord progression and the feeling he wants a track to convey. His early production work included an August 2023 remix of Rara Vez by Milo J and Taiu. He also developed The Penthouse Records as part of his music-making activity. Alongside production, DJing gives him a way to explore how listeners respond to records and to connect the writing process with music played in a room.
