Jennifer Loveless

About

The sound

Jennifer Loveless is a DJ, producer and composer whose work extends from house and techno to music for film. Her DJ selections combine warm electronic rhythms with an interest in emotional contrast, moving between reflective passages and more energetic club music. Her background includes time in both Canada and Australia. Her recordings have appeared through Planet Euphorique, !K7 and Future Classic. Her catalogue includes Water, Around the World, Pleasure, Fever EP and Familiar, alongside the earlier Hard/Soft release. As well as individual tracks and EPs, that catalogue includes remixed versions of Pleasure, showing how her music has been reinterpreted by other producers. Dance remains central to her practice, while composition gives her room to work beyond the structure of a club set. That combination brings together her roles as a selector, recording artist and composer for moving images.
