About
The sound
Jixo & Danz is the shared DJ project of Daniel Jahed and Daniel Azar. Childhood friends from Beirut, the pair built a musical partnership that developed through small Lebanese events before continuing in Dubai. Their selections move through disco, deep house, tech house and techno, shaped by the atmosphere of the room and their exchange behind the decks.
In a 2013 interview, they traced the beginning of their practice to buying their first CDJs in 2002 and playing small gigs the following year. Their Dubai history includes Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE, where they held a long residency, alongside appearances at other city clubs and international dates. The duo’s practice centres on shared selection and adaptation, with both DJs contributing to the direction of each set.
