About
The sound
Jo Mills is a DJ whose career grew from London’s house-music record-shop and club culture. She began DJing in 1991 while working at Flying Records, where she was surrounded by selectors including Rocky and Ashley Beedle. Mark Wilkinson helped her learn the craft, and visits to Soho’s Flying Club shaped her interest in moving from collecting records to playing them. Early sets at the Full Circle parties at the Greyhound in Colnbrook helped establish her as a selector. Five years at Flying Records provided a foundation for an international career and a lasting connection with house music. Her recorded mixes include radio sessions for Ibiza Global Radio, offering an archive of the music she brings together behind the decks.
