About

The sound

Job de Jong is a Dutch house DJ and producer born and raised in Leiden. He began DJing in 2019 and moved into production later that year, developing a sound shaped by house, disco and minimal club music. His influences include ANOTR, Kerri Chandler, Toman and Archie Hamilton. His debut EP, Get Up, arrived on OVRDOSE Deep in January 2021, followed by the Initiate EP on Airtime Records. Further releases include People Society and work through Locus, Hardline, PIV and Talman Records. Across that catalogue, he combines references to 1990s house with deep basslines, melody and direct drum programming. His development has been closely connected with the Dutch club scene, including performances at Thuishaven, Complex and Colorado Charlie. Alongside those settings, his work has reached rooms such as London’s Studio 338 and Amsterdam’s Bret and Shelter, connecting his production catalogue with an expanding DJ practice.
