About
The sound
Joe Rolét is a West London DJ and producer whose selections connect UK garage, minimal techno and tech house with the bass weight of dubstep and jungle. Record collecting in Soho and Notting Hill, together with early nights at Fabric and The End, helped shape his approach to club music. Vinyl remains central to the way he develops his selections. Through Planetary Notions, his label, he has released productions associated with the Space Pace description. No Hesitating is among the records that brought wider attention to his studio work. His DJ sets range from patient, detailed minimal sessions to faster, more forceful selections, bringing different parts of that UK club background into the same performance.
