About
The sound
John Summit is an American DJ and producer working across house and tech house. His 2020 track “Deep End” helped establish his recording career, followed by collaborations including “Thin Line” with Guz and “Sun Came Up” with Sofi Tukker. He also runs Experts Only, a label that connects his own releases with music from other producers. His debut album project Comfort in Chaos widened his approach beyond club loops and samples into more developed songs. Collaborations with Hayla on “Where You Are” and “Shiver,” and with Sub Focus and Julia Church on “Go Back,” bring vocals and different electronic influences into that sound. Writing sessions in London helped shape the album, while his remix and production work kept the dance floor central to its development.
