About

The sound

Jordan Peak is a British DJ and producer whose music draws on house, techno and garage. He began DJing at 13 and producing at 18, developing a catalogue that includes releases through Robsoul, Saved, One Records and 2020Vision. His own Peak Trax imprint gives him a direct outlet for his productions. On the Ready Or Not EP, he combined speed-garage swing with bass-heavy club production. He describes another strand of his work as “Jitter House”: cut-up vocals, glitches and shifts in arrangement over a house groove, with ideas drawn from electro and techno. His approach to arrangement also draws on film structure and songwriting, giving tracks distinct sections instead of relying solely on repetition. His catalogue also includes “Front 2 Back,” “Be With Me,” “Something 2 Dance 2” and “Freak U Right,” continuing the connection between his label work and DJ-focused records.
