Jorja Smith is a vocalist and songwriter raised in Walsall, England, whose music moves between R&B, soul, jazz, garage and electronic production. Her early releases, including Blue Lights and Where Did I Go?, established a writing voice attentive to place, social pressure and intimate relationships, carried by a flexible vocal approach that can remain conversational or open into full melodic phrasing. The debut album Lost & Found developed that language across acoustic and electronic settings, while later projects including Be Right Back and Falling or flying expanded the rhythmic and production range of her catalogue. Smith's collaborations span rap, dance music and contemporary soul, but her own artist identity remains centred on songwriting and live vocal performance.
