About

The sound

Kamma is an Amsterdam DJ and producer whose musical upbringing was shaped by parents who worked as DJs. Growing up around their jazz, funk, disco and house records, she developed an interest in connecting different styles rather than staying within one genre. Nights at Trouw later helped shape an approach that moves between warm house, percussive techno and more unexpected selections. With frequent collaborator Masalo, she co-created the listening bar Doka and developed the Brighter Days event and mix series. In 2023, Kamma and Masalo released a Brighter Days compilation through Rush Hour, bringing together rare recordings, new material and their own K&M edits. Her solo production work builds on childhood piano playing and experiments with a Casio synthesizer. Her debut single Snow In April appeared on Antal’s Rainbow Disco Club compilation, using looping synthesizers and ambient textures to explore a quieter, downtempo side of her musical interests.
