Karen Harding is an English singer and songwriter from Consett in County Durham whose powerful, house-oriented vocal style has made her a recurring presence in British and international dance music. She first pursued a recording career through televised competitions, including the United Kingdom's Eurovision selection and The X Factor, before producer MNEK discovered her online performance of Disclosure's Latch. Their writing session produced Say Something, released through Method and Capitol; the deep-house single reached the UK top ten, earned platinum-level recognition and established Harding as a lead artist rather than only a session vocalist. Her subsequent catalogue has moved between solo records, featured performances and songwriting for other acts. She has recorded with producers including Wilkinson, Paul Woolford, Purple Disco Machine, Armand Van Helden, Le Youth, WH0, Sonny Fodera and Tujamo, applying a soulful voice to house, garage and dance-pop production.
