KARLOS SENSE

About

The sound

Karlos Sense is a DJ and radio producer from Madrid whose selections connect deep house with underground techno. His musical influences include Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Plastikman, Aphex Twin and Underground Resistance, alongside the work of DJs such as Jeff Mills and Oscar Mulero. Time working at Madrid’s New Records helped develop his interest in electronic music and record selection. His career has included presenting, editing and producing music for radio, with work connected to Radio Amnesia, Pioneer DJ Radio and Ibiza Sonica. Programmes such as Low Beats, Supersonicos and Noisegarden document that side of his practice alongside his DJ work. The Noisegarden archive includes extended sets that move through deep house, dub techno, minimal and related electronic styles. His wider listening also takes in downtempo, dub, nu-jazz and trip-hop, giving his selections a range beyond more direct club rhythms.
