About

The sound

Karretero is a Madrid DJ and producer whose music centres on house and tech house. His background combines classical training with years in the city’s underground clubs. Groove is the thread linking those experiences: his records are built for DJs to play, while his approach to selection considers the people around the whole room as well as those closest to the booth. In a 2026 interview, he named Joseph Capriati, Franky Rizardo and BLOND:ISH among his influences. His catalogue includes Magic Sax with Crusy, Due Bongo, Wei, CAFE CON RON and the Starchild EP. Alongside his own productions, he has developed Umami as a party project. By July 2026, he had released a single through BLOND:ISH’s Abracadabra label.
