About
The sound
KC Lights is the Scottish DJ, producer and musician Kerr Slaven. He grew up on the Isle of Bute, where early interests in composition and performance led to an honours music degree. A teenage introduction to club culture redirected that training toward electronic music, giving him the foundation for a house sound shaped by melody and arrangement. His career has taken him to clubs and festivals including Creamfields, ADE, Printworks, Ministry of Sound and The Warehouse Project, alongside radio performances on BBC Radio 1, RTÉ Pulse and SiriusXM. In the studio, he has remixed Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, Becky Hill, Jax Jones, Sofi Tukker and MK. His own productions have received support from artists including Carl Cox, Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim and CamelPhat, connecting his musical training with a broad audience for contemporary house.
