About

The sound

Keyrah is a Birmingham-born DJ, radio host and curator based in London. Her selections bring together house, broken beat, R&B, rap, soul and jazz, with familiar records and edits providing a connection to less expected sounds. Early experience with instruments and a music-loving household helped form that broad listening practice, while lessons at Birmingham's DJ Gym introduced her to working with CDJs. She moved to London in 2019 and developed her career through local sets and word-of-mouth bookings. Her work includes appearances at KOKO, fabric, XOYO and Phonox, alongside guest mixes for BBC Radio 1Xtra and NTS. Her Rinse FM archive documents a space for experimenting beyond the tracks she might choose for a club set. MISC; grew from a playlist she assembled during lockdown into a wider platform for radio and curation. In 2024 it expanded into parties in London and Birmingham, bringing her interest in musical variety into a shared setting.
