About
KI/KI is an Amsterdam DJ and producer whose music brings acid techno, trance and rave into a fast but melodic contemporary form. Insomniac traces her public breakthrough to a 2018 residency at Spielraum, the queer club space where long sets and close contact with the dance floor shaped her approach. She subsequently developed all-night performances and the KI/KI invites series while appearing at Berghain, Bassiani, Awakenings, Pitch Music & Arts and other international institutions. Resident Advisor describes the contrast at the centre of her work: severe rhythmic pressure can give way to euphoric harmony, and references to 1990s trance are rebuilt with modern production rather than treated as nostalgia alone. Her studio practice became increasingly visible with 5 Mins of Acid, a remix of Felix’s Don’t You Want Me, and her interpretation of Fatima Yamaha’s What’s a Girl to Do. In 2022 she founded the slash label to connect archival inspirations, emerging producers and her own records, and introduced a live show at Draaimolen. Spotify and Apple Music match the same KI/KI identity and catalogue. The sources establish an active DJ, producer, curator and label founder with roots in Amsterdam’s queer underground and a current global touring presence.
