Kid Bamboo

About

The sound

Kid Bamboo is a DJ and producer whose music connects classic house influences with Afro-house rhythms and detailed percussion. Early seasons performing in Mykonos helped develop his work behind the decks, before a move to Mexico brought him into another part of international club culture. His practice combines original productions, edits and live DJ sets. His catalogue includes Alma Negra and the Carousel EP, both released in 2022, followed by Inca in 2024 and Sintra in 2025. Carousel includes If You Ever and remixes by Viel and Enoo Napa, while Inca includes versions by Savage & SHē. These recordings place his own compositions alongside interpretations by other producers. His SoundCloud archive also includes an edit of Thievery Corporation's Exilio and a joint Alex Kosh edit of Michael Jackson's Liberian Girl. Those edits sit alongside his release catalogue, connecting an interest in familiar songs with the percussive approach that shapes his DJ work.
