About

The sound

Krystal Klear is the DJ and producer Declan Lennon from Dublin. Active under that name since 2010, he brings together different strands of dance music through melodic club productions and a wide-ranging approach to selecting records. His early career included the Red Bull Music Academy and residencies at Manchester’s Warehouse Project and HOYA HOYA parties. Neutron Dance became a defining recording, alongside releases through Running Back, Eglo, MadTech and his own Cold Tonic label. Earlier work includes Tried For Your Love in 2010 and Never Thought You Would Go with Olivier Day Soul in 2011, followed by the Cold Tonic releases Squad and Danceteria / Keith Haring. His catalogue also includes collaborations with Sofie Royer and Skream. Lennon’s creative work extends into photography and design. His 2023 photobook Building Walls Out Of Paper includes a foreword by Gray Sorrenti and was accompanied by exhibitions in Paris and London. Cold Tonic connects that visual practice with his musical output, providing an outlet for recordings and other creative projects.
