About
The sound
Lauren Mia is a Los Angeles electronic producer, DJ and composer with a background in classical piano. Her music combines melodic house and techno with an interest in composition and analogue sound. Her catalogue includes releases on Anjunadeep and Rose Avenue, alongside the Eternal Existence EP on Petit Matin in 2022. She released her debut album, RE:BIRTH, in late 2023. In a February 2025 interview, Mia explained that Halcyon was the next chapter of Ear Porn Music, the imprint she had started in her twenties. The new label gave her a home for Sapiosensual while she continued working with other labels, including Armada. She described independence as a way to shape how her music reached listeners, alongside the practical learning that came from years of production, experimentation and feedback.
