About
The sound
Leo Gira is an Italian DJ and producer from Cortina d’Ampezzo. African music, electronic records and 1970s funk were part of his early listening, and he began a residency at the town’s BLU club as a teenager. Those influences sit behind an approach that connects house and Afro house with melodic club music. His work has extended into music direction and projects beyond the DJ booth. He has been involved with MUSICisLIFE in Addis Ababa and with artistic direction at La Terrazza, Ciasa Lorenzi, in Cortina. His production work includes a remix of Seal’s Crazy, while fashion-related music direction forms another strand of his career. His recorded catalogue includes “Save a Prayer” featuring Jordan Grace in 2023, followed by “Love Land” featuring Philasande and “The Walk” in 2025.
