Loco Dice

About

The sound

Loco Dice is the Tunisian-German DJ and producer Yassine Ben Achour. His musical development in Düsseldorf began in hip-hop, working as a rapper and DJ before turning towards electronic music around the start of the 2000s. That background gave his house and techno an enduring connection to vocal rhythm and the physical impact of a beat. Phat Dope Shit arrived in 2002, followed by a recording career that included 7 Dunham Place on Desolat in 2008. Underground Sound Suicide brought collaborations with artists including Giggs and Neneh Cherry, while Love Letters followed in 2018. His later catalogue includes Heavy Heart with Skrillex and Fireboy DML. Remix work for artists such as Black Coffee, Disclosure and Basement Jaxx has extended that studio practice alongside his original recordings, connecting his electronic productions with songs and voices from a broader musical range.
