LP Giobbi

About

The sound

LP Giobbi is an American DJ, producer and jazz-trained pianist whose music connects piano-led writing with electronic production. Improvisation and collaboration inform her approach, while her remix work includes recordings by the Grateful Dead and Taylor Swift. Her own productions place that musical background alongside the rhythmic structure of house. Her debut album Light Places arrived in 2023, followed by Dotr on Counter Records in October 2024. Dotr brings together guest voices and collaborators including Danielle Ponder, Jacob Banks, Mascolo and Portugal. the Man. Tracks such as Is This Love, Feel and Been Such a Long Time connect sung material with her piano and electronic arrangements. Beyond her recordings, she co-founded FEMME HOUSE with HERMIXALOT in 2019. The nonprofit supports underrepresented music creators through production education, mentorship, fellowships and community programmes. Her Yes Yes Yes label provides another outlet for musical collaboration, connecting the work she makes as an artist with opportunities for other producers.
