About
The sound
Maher Daniel is a Palestinian DJ and producer whose career developed through an early residency at Stereo in Montreal. After moving to Barcelona, he launched The Other Side, creating a home for his own productions and a wider circle of artists working in minimal house. His musical connections include Ricardo Villalobos and the a:rpia:r circle. The Other Side’s catalogue includes work involving Villalobos, Petre Inspirescu and Rhadoo. In January 2025, the label announced a programme to bring its first eleven releases to digital distribution through Beatport. That announcement began with Motionless from Daniel’s debut album, Feelings from the Other Side, accompanied by a remix from Mandar. It marked a new distribution chapter for a catalogue developed through Daniel’s combined work as a producer and label founder.
