Manda Moor

About

The sound

Manda Moor is a DJ and producer whose music draws on Danish-Filipino heritage, roots in France and a strong connection to Chicago house. Her sound combines house and techno with an emphasis on rhythmic bounce, and her catalogue includes releases on Hot Creations, Kaluki, Cecille and Tamango. Her EPs include What U Want, The Climax and Picante, alongside Péché Mignon and Peligro. Remix work has connected her with Chicago artists including DJ Deeon, K-Alexi Shelby, DJ Pierre and Roy Davis Jr., while her own productions include Spirit Tribe, Bumpy Ride and Ambush. She co-founded Mood Child with Sirus Hood as a label and wider creative platform. Its compilations are organised around contrasting moods, including Wild Moods, Dreamy Moods and Trippy Moods. The project provides a setting for the pair’s productions and collaborations while bringing different approaches to house music into the same catalogue.
