Marco Carola is an Italian electronic musician, DJ and label founder from Naples. His recording career connects techno production with a succession of independent labels, including Design, Zenit, Question, One Thousands and Do.Mi.No. Alongside these outlets, he has released music through Minus, Plus 8 and Primate Recordings, building a catalogue across different parts of the underground electronic scene. His fabric 31 mix appeared in 2006, followed by a Time Warp compilation in 2009 and the studio album Play It Loud in 2011. Records such as Apnea, Bloody Cash, Walking Dog and Groove Catcher provide further examples of his production work; the latter includes a remix by Martin Buttrich. In 2011 Carola established Music On as a home for his musical ideas and for developing artists, extending his role from performer and producer into curating a label and club brand. Its roots in Naples and focus on club music connect that project to the recording labels he had already built.
