Martin Garrix

About

The sound

Martin Garrix is the Dutch DJ and producer Martijn Gerard Garritsen. His early interest in guitar developed into electronic production, and Animals brought his music to a global audience in 2013. His subsequent work has moved between progressive house, pop collaborations and music made for large club and festival stages. In the Name of Love and Scared to Be Lonely became part of a catalogue that pairs electronic production with vocal songwriting. Later recordings include High on Life with Bonn, Ocean with Khalid and Summer Days with Macklemore and Patrick Stump. These collaborations sit alongside the club productions collected on Sentio, released in 2022. Garrix founded STMPD RCRDS in 2016, developing a label alongside his own recordings and artist projects. AREA21 explores another side of his songwriting, while his work under the Martin Garrix name has continued with releases including This Dream of You in October 2026.
