About
The sound
MAXImum is a Greek DJ and producer whose music brings percussive rhythms together with darker electronic textures. Their influences include Greek and Balkan music, sounds from the 1990s and 2000s, and experiences of the music scenes in Prague and Berlin. They studied electronic music production at Thessaloniki’s THEMA Project in 2022–2023 and have explored the relationship between sound, space and acoustics through postgraduate study. Their production approach includes electroacoustic and experimental techniques. In 2025, they participated in Subverted’s mentoring programme in Berlin and production workshops led by Pink Concrete in Prague. Their first track, ASSpasto, appeared that June on Rejuv Collective’s Balkan Stories compilation. Recorded DJ work also includes a MAXImum x MEROS radio session.
